Does AdQuiet block ads?
No. Ads still play — AdQuiet just mutes them and brings sound back afterwards. Optional auto-skip only presses a Skip button the service itself shows.
Which services work?
YouTube, Hulu, Prime Video, Peacock, Paramount+, Max, Disney+ and Netflix have adapters. All are labelled experimental until verified on live ad breaks.
Why wasn't an ad muted?
If the player shows no ad label or countdown, there's nothing reliable to detect. Try High sensitivity, and send a diagnostic report from the extension.
Will it mute my show by mistake?
It requires repeated, consistent signals and never reacts to loudness or dialogue. One click on 'Unmute now' pauses it for a minute.
Does it work on my smart TV?
Samsung, LG and Roku don't let apps observe other apps, so native muting isn't possible there. Android TV support is in development.
Do you see my viewing or logins?
No. Detection runs locally, and we never ask for streaming credentials.
