AdQuiet TV · Experimental
Smarter commercial control for compatible TVs.
A native Android TV app with a remote-friendly interface and a built-in compatibility test. It is in development — no installable build is published yet.
Compatibility test
Checks your TV's model, Android version and whether apps can control the volume — then shows the result honestly.
Real audio checks
If your TV or soundbar fixes the volume (common with HDMI-CEC), AdQuiet tells you instead of pretending to mute.
Detection limits
Most streaming apps don't share ad information with other apps. Where nothing is shared, detection isn't possible.
Platform status
Android TV / Google TVExperimental
Sideload the APK. An Accessibility Service can read on-screen labels only if the streaming app exposes them; audio muting fails on fixed-volume / HDMI-CEC setups. Prototype — no compiled APK published yet.
Amazon Fire TVExperimental
Fire OS is Android-based, but accessibility and sideloading behaviour varies by device and version. Untested — no build published.
Samsung (Tizen)Unsupported
Apps can be installed, but cannot run alongside or observe other apps like Hulu or Netflix.
LG (webOS)Unsupported
Apps are sandboxed; no API to inspect another app's screen or control its audio.
RokuUnsupported
Only one channel runs at a time; channels cannot observe or control others.
Works today on any TV
Connect a laptop to your TV over HDMI and stream in the browser with AdQuiet Browser installed.
